Vice Chancellor's Office: Sheffield University

The practice was asked to design a prestigious interior for the Rotunda. The Rotunda was home to the university's original library and is a Grade II listed building. Now it was being transformed into offices and a meeting space for the Vice-Chancellor and the Pro Vice-Chancellors.

The brief was to modernise and reinvigorate a tired 1970s interior, making the most of the magnificent lantern and the original stonework. We also designed a chandelier and wall uplighters incorporating the university's shield and coat of arms.

The project was a resounding success.
